Non
immigrant visa status allows the holder of the status
to enter or remain in the U.S. for a particular specialized
temporary purpose. The types include visitors for pleasure
and business, students, professional workers, intracompany
transferees, religious workers, artists and entertainers,
individuals with extraordinary ability, investors or traders,
exchange visitors, fiancées, Free Trade professionals,
and others. The status is obtained either by making
application at the U.S. Consulate in the foreign country for
permission to enter the U.S. or, by requesting an extension
or change of status from inside the U.S.
Most nonimmigrant visas allow their holder
multiple entry to the U.S., meaning one can go in and out
of the U.S. as one needs until the visa expires. The method
of application and the type of visa issued is dependent upon
the needs of the individual and the visa that meets those
needs.
Our trained staff is well qualified to work with you, your
family members or your employer to determine the best visa
category to meet your needs.
Please note that a visa is not
a guarantee of entry into the U.S. An immigration officer
at the port of entry determines whether or not you may enter
and your authorized duration of stay.
